Providence Health Plan Hires Three Key Finance Leaders

Health plan announces the strategic addition of three leaders to its finance team

Providence Health Plan (PHP) announced three significant additions to the leadership team this month, each of whom will play an instrumental role in driving our organization's financial and strategic objectives. These seasoned professionals bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for healthcare to our team, and we are excited to welcome them on board.

Ronda Bell, Kristin Mullany, and Ashley Wise will each play integral roles in the organization's growth and financial strategy.

Ronda Bell - Vice President of Informatics

Ronda Bell joined PHP as the Vice President of Informatics. Bell brings with her a wealth of experience, having served in various capacities at Blue Shield California in Oakland since 2009, including Senior IT Portfolio Manager, Director of Business Planning and Strategy, Director of Healthcare and Quality Assurance, and most recently, as Senior Director and IT Portfolio Lead for Health Solutions.

“What drew me to Providence Health Plan is how the organization's values align with my personal values: Compassion (Empathy Matters), Dignity (Treat all with respect), Justice (Fairness is human), Integrity (Provides paths to True Health) and Excellence (Excellent Care comes first),” Bell says.

Bell has demonstrated success in technology management, transformation, team building and leadership, and strategic planning and execution, as well as a passion for the PHP Mission.

Kristin Mullany - Head of Growth Strategies

Kristin Mullany, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience driving growth and executing transformative business outcomes, has been appointed Head of Growth Strategies at Providence Health Plan. Before coming to PHP, Mullany served at HealthScape Advisors as a Principal, advising healthcare payers, specialty health organizations, providers, and investors.

"What drew me to Providence is the mission, culture and incredible talent here," Mullany says. "Together, we can make a difference and do it in the right way."

Before this, Mullany spent nearly 12 years at Blue Shield of California in several senior leadership positions, culminating in her role as Vice President of Accountable Care and Value-Based Products, where she was responsible for membership growth and a multi-billion-dollar P&L for products sold across lines of business.

She holds both an MBA and a BA from Northwestern University.

Ashley Wise - Associate Vice President of Finance

Ashley Wise has joined PHP as the Associate Vice President of Finance, coming from her previous role as the Assistant Director of Finance Accounting and Reporting at Cambia Health Solutions. With nine years of experience at KPMG, LLP, Wise brings a wealth of financial expertise to the team.

“In my career, I have always strived to promote a culture of inclusion, transparency, and teamwork,” she says. “I think the promise to ‘know me, care for me, ease my way’ is a summary of these characteristics. When leaders are able to develop personal relationships with caregivers to know them as individuals, we can better meet their needs, provide mentorship, and create a cohesive team focused on promoting growth and progress.”

Wise holds a BBA and a Master of Accounting from the University of Washington.

These three accomplished finance leaders bring experience, talent, and passion to Providence Health Plan, positioning the organization for continued growth and success in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
