Through a collaboration with Cigna Healthcare, Providence Health Plan offers plans that include access to the Cigna Healthcare PPO Network.


When members live or travel outside of Providence’s service areas, our partnership with Cigna Healthcare allows members to access Cigna Healthcare providers, specialists, and hospitals at the in-network rate. This ensures that our members receive quality care and have nationwide access to care. The Cigna Healthcare PPO Network goes beyond just travel coverage; our in-house care management supports access to care, cost control, and improved health outcomes.

Are you a member and not sure if your plan includes the Cigna Healthcare PPO Network?

 

Here are three ways to verify Cigna Healthcare PPO Network eligibility:

  • myProvidence
    1. Login to your myProvidence account at myProvidence.com
    2. Navigate to “My Providers” and select “Find a Provider” from the drop down menu
    3. Search by provider name, location, or specialty

     

    The Cigna Healthcare logo is displayed at the top of the provider page.

  • Member ID card

    Check your member ID card, the Cigna Healthcare logo is conveniently located on the front of the card for eligible members. 

  • Contact Customer Service

    Call 503-574-7500 or 800-878-4445 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific Time).

Integrated Care Management services


Our collaboration with Cigna Healthcare goes beyond a simple travel network, members also have access to our integrated Providence Health Plan Care Management team.

    Care managers are here to help with:

    Providence Health Plan Care Management services are available to all members at no cost.

     

    Participation is voluntary and declining/opting-out may be done by contacting the assigned care manager or by contacting us by phone.

  • Verify benefits and eligibility

    In some cases, Cigna Healthcare PPO Network providers may not be familiar with Providence Health Plan. If they do not recognize the member ID card, please have the provider call Providence Health Plan Customer Service at 503-574-7500 or 800-878-4445 (TTY: 711) to verify benefits and eligibility.


    Members may also let the provider know they have access to the Cigna Healthcare PPO Network through a shared administration agreement between Cigna Healthcare and Providence.


    Please note: Cigna Healthcare does not have access to Providence member benefits and eligibility information. 

  • Claims submission

    All claims are submitted to Cigna Healthcare, then Cigna Healthcare will communicate with Providence Health Plan. Claim submission instructions can be found on the back of the member’s ID card and should be sent to:
