We’re here to help address barriers, support your efforts, motivate you when you need a nudge, and be a resource on your journey to a healthier, happier you.
Providence Medicare Advantage Plans offers two health coaching program tracks, depending on the nature of your goals and desired level of coaching support throughout the program. Both program tracks are offered at no cost to eligible Providence Medicare Advantage plan members.
The Providence standard health coaching program offers:

Who is eligible for Health Coaching services? Do I have to have a specific health issue or condition to use this service?
All Medicare Advantage members are eligible. Although it is common that members join with various health conditions, disease prevention is a common focus for our member population. If your condition is not well managed, we partner with our care management team for additional support.

How much does health coaching cost?
Health coaching is available to Medicare members at no cost. -
What is a health coach?
Health Coaches are healthcare professionals who coach members on areas of wellness such as physical activity, nutrition, stress management, weight management, tobacco cessation and sleep.
Health Coaches focus on helping you achieve your highest level of well-being through effective goal setting, education, motivation, support, accountability, confidence building and navigating barriers.

How can coaching benefit me?
A health coach is trained to help you to set goals, stay motivated, navigate challenges, and discover that you have the answers to create lasting changes. -
How should I prepare for a coaching session?
During the first coaching session, your health coach will ask you questions to get to know you and learn about your current lifestyle habits. You are encouraged to identify areas of interest. Together, you and your health coach will come up with 3–6-month goals.
During the follow up sessions you will determine the focus of each session. You and your health coach will review your progress and explore any challenges that may have come up.

What if I try coaching and it is not the program that I need

What are the coaching hours?
To accommodate our members scheduling needs, health coaching hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Pacific Time), Monday through Friday.

Do you offer in-person health coaching?
In-person coaching is not offered at this time, but we do offer video visits. If you’d like further in-person support, your plan may cover visits to see a registered dietitian. Customer service can help you to understand your wellness benefits and direct you to in-network providers. Can my spouse enroll in health coaching?
If your spouse meets eligibility requirements and has insurance through Providence Medicare Advantage Plans they may enroll. They must call the health coaching line to enroll of fill out the Health Coaching Interest form. -
